Make Android Studio Work for You!

Since Android Studio’s 1.0 release in 2014, Google has been updating and refining it’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE). JetBrains has also been developing IntelliJ IDEA, the open source IDE upon which Android Studio is based. Over time, Android Studio has become a powerhouse of tools to help you write better code in less time. While the most used feature is smart code completion, Android Studio has access to so many more powerful tools! In this talk, we’ll cover how to

* Customize key bindings to speed up your daily workflow
* Use Live Templates to create custom code snippets a shortcut away
* Customize how your IDE looks and is organized to help you find what you need at a glance
* Get the most out of your debugger with conditional breakpoints and expressions
* Browse and download plugins to either expand your functionality, or just to add some color to your day! (I’ll share my favourites)
